WHY IS GIVE IT 4WARD UNIQUE?
1. WE CHANGE RECEIVERS INTO GIVERS. When single mothers give 25% of their profits to the community, it increases their self-esteem and increases their sense of empowerment.
2. WE HAVE AN OPEN SOURCE CONCEPT. Like the Linux Kernel that Android uses. We encourage our alliance partners to use our model afterwards free of charge. Our goal is to make the world a better place 100 years from now.
WHY DOES THE FOUNDATION ONLY HELP SINGLE MOTHERS START BUSINESSES?Family is society’s foundation.
Mothers generally bond the family together.
Single mothers face the most pressure in developing this family bond with less resources. WHY DOES THE FOUNDATION REQUIRE 25% OF THE BUSINESS’S PROFITS TO BE GIVEN TO OTHER CHARITY EFFORTS?
Because it’s better to give than to receive. The act of giving greatly increases a person’s positive self-esteem, has health benefits (see NYT article) and provides a powerful example to their community. WHAT ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT CRITERIA IN SELECTING PROJECTS TO FUND?
Experience within that type of business, desire to improve their lives and their children’s, and a desire to help others. In other words, a sharp mind and a kind heart. WHY IS GIVE IT 4WARD FOCUSING ON PRISON SINGLE MOTHERS?
Because there are few viable options to manifest their dreams and give them a second chance.
Everyone deserves hope for the future (see NYT article). We not only give it, we give them the tools to make it for themselves. WHY IS GIVE IT 4WARD IN NORTH AND SOUTH AMERICA?
Because we believe that a single mother’s desire for a better life for her children transcends geopolitical boundaries. HOW CAN I MAKE A DONATION TO GIVE IT 4WARD?
You can’t because we are internally funded.
IF I CAN’T DONATE MONEY, HOW CAN I HELP?
People like to help other people, because it makes us feel good, like the people in this video.
Why can’t your charity’s recipients have that chance to feel good? WHAT IS THE ESSENTIAL ELEMENT OF GIVE IT 4WARD’S MODEL?
The G4 kernel is to require non emergency aid recipients to give to a cause of their choice.
Then receivers become givers and feel better about themselves. HOW CAN I HELP IF I DON’T HAVE ANY INFLUENCE TO CHANGE MY FAVORITE CHARITY?
